The first annual FASHION SHOW to benefit the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Progam is taking place on Saturday, March 18th 2017 at the Burlington International Airport.
Dirt Chic has been asked to participate this new event that embraces the values of love, empowerment, connection, sensuality, and fun, but we need your help to do it!
refugees.org/field-office/vermont/We're raising $300 to contribute to the fundraising effort. All money raised in conjunction
with The Fashion Show stays local in Vermont and supports the programming
of The Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program (VRRP).
The VRRP needs some extra help this year. Last month a drunk driver crashed into one of their offices. Fortunately, no one was seriously inured, but the damage to the building was substantial.
Donations will be collected at Dirt Chic at the register beginning Thursday, January 12th. Any contribution you can make will help, even the leftover change from a purchase.
You can see our 3 looks and outfits from other local businesses at The Fashion Show. Learn more about The Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program at http://refugees.org/field-office/vermont/

Every year the Junior Milers program, part RunVermont, organizes a team of local teens to run the Vermont City Marathon. Junior Milers provides entries, support, and coaching to the teens who come from local organizations such as King Street, the Boys and Girls Club, and the YMCA, as well as school teams. For the last two years Dirt Chic has been proud to join our neighbors at Ski Rack in outfitting the team. We collected donations of athletic wear from our consignors and opened the store to the Junior Milers to take whatever gear they needed. . We are so proud to be a part of such an amazing organization!
Our semi-annual 1/2 price sale begins 3/1/2016! Everything in the store with the exception of new consignments will be 50% off until 3/14
Our first annual Coats & Coffee event took place last Sunday at August First and it was a huge success! So many people came to the store to donate coats, bedding, and toiletries and many others donated items from their consignments. We cannot thank our customers and consignors enough for their generosity! August first served coffee and hot beverages to order as well as an assortment of cookies, muffins, and croissants. We were able to give away several racks worth of coats and sweaters, scarves, gloves and hats to men, women, and children who really needed them in a safe and welcoming environment. We can't wait to begin planning our second annual event next year!
The deals just got even better! From September 1 through September 14 everything in the store is 50% OFF (with the exception of items with dark blue tags). The sale includes clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories! Find fabulous deals on Women's, Men's, Maternity and Children's clothes. The designer section and already discounted $5 rack are on sale too! Outfit yourself for fall, get summer items for next year, pick up some great outfits for the kids, and do it all where it's cheap to be chic!
Inventory taken in during the first two weeks of September will not be included in the sale.
This year, we at Dirt Chic were thrilled to have kids and teens from the King Street Youth Center, the Boys and Girls Club, and Burlington High School come in for clothes, as part of the Junior Youth Relay.
The Junior Youth Relay is dedicated to providing youth with a healthy alternative to potential at-risk behaviors. Every spring, RunVermont provides a three month program that ends with the kids running a leg of the People's United Vermont City Marathon. The participants come from local youth centers, middle schools, and high school organizations.
Along with the physical training program, the kids are exposed to a variety of motivational and educational opportunities. They are also provided a proper pair of running shoes as well as all-weather clothing at no cost.
