 This year, we at Dirt Chic were thrilled to have kids and teens from the King Street Youth Center, the Boys and Girls Club, and Burlington High School come in for clothes, as part of the Junior Youth Relay. The Junior Youth Relay is dedicated to providing youth with a healthy alternative to potential at-risk behaviors. Every spring, RunVermont provides a three month program that ends with the kids running a leg of the People's United Vermont City Marathon. The participants come from local youth centers, middle schools, and high school organizations. Along with the physical training program, the kids are exposed to a variety of motivational and educational opportunities. They are also provided a proper pair of running shoes as well as all-weather clothing at no cost. See more about this great program here!
